About Us
Have you ever signed up for a new SaaS tool and needed clarification about how to use it? With Pyne, you can seamlessly onboard without needing to schedule sales calls.
At Pyne we believe that onboarding to products should be as enjoyable as onboarding to video games. How? We achieve this via AI-led in-product demos. No more generic product experiences; no more salespeople bugging you to upgrade. Instead, we have an engaging and well-informed avatar co-browsing with you through the most important features and showing you how to use it.
Pyne raised €2.6 million pre-seed round from well-known VCs Lightspeed, SquareOne, and others. The team is based in Berlin.
Our Team
Our team is at the exciting stage of finding our first 10 pyoneers. Everyone is involved in the business and is expected to take ownership, challenge the status quo, and voice their thoughts constructively. You will have a significant impact on our culture, product, and all things user experience-related.
As our Senior Frontend Developer at Pyne, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing the backbone of our onboarding platform, ensuring every user interaction is smooth, personalised, and value-driven. You’ll be at the forefront of innovating the user onboarding space building a truly novel user experience by leveraging modern technologies and smart use of AI.
Your work will harness cutting-edge advancements in software to create the next generation of human-computer interaction. You'll design intuitive interfaces that integrate generative AI, revolutionizing how users engage with digital platforms.
Join us to be part of a team that changes the game and sets a whole new standard for how SaaS product companies engage with their users.
<h2>Tasks</h2>
🛠 As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will build our product from the ground up and pave the way for many more engineers in the coming years to build on your ideas and setup.
Some concrete projects you’ll work on:
<ul>
<li>Allow users to interrupt a demo to explore the product on their own and come back to it when they want to continue</li>
<li>Find new ways of highlighting sections in a page that go beyond simple CSS and XPath selectors</li>
<li>Build a floating toolbar for our customers to modify demos right in their product</li>
</ul>
Day-to-day responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Work closely with customers to test and iterate on new features</li>
<li>Choose the right technologies based on a problem set, contextual technologies, and team capabilities</li>
<li>Collaborate with other developers, our designers, and product manager in an agile working mode</li>
<li>Develop and maintain our software and keep a high service quality level</li>
</ul>
Our tech stack is:
<ul>
<li>Tech: React, Typescript, Tailwind, Next.js, Prisma, PostgreSQL, OpenAI</li>
<li>Hosting: Render, Supabase, Cloudflare</li>
<li>Workflow: GitHub, Notion, Figma, Retool</li>
</ul>
Nothing is set in stone at this point. If you have strong opinions, we want you to share your thoughts with the team, and you will be able to lead your initiatives.
<h2>Requirements</h2>
Most importantly:
<ul>
<li>You like to work independently, think entrepreneurial, and feel comfortable making decisions when there’s no right or wrong.</li>
<li>You like to get results fast and hold others and yourself accountable for delivering customer and company value every day? Then this role is for you.</li>
<li>Also important: You can work from the Berlin office most days of the week with our core team. We are based in the heart of Mitte, near Hackescher Markt!</li>
</ul>
These are some things that will set you up for success:
<ul>
<li>You have led advanced frontend projects where you had to make significant decisions that positively impacted the user experience</li>
<li>You worked on user interfaces before that go beyond simple pages, dialogs, and forms</li>
<li>You are excited about working in an early-stage startup and co-shaping our engineering and team culture by sharing ideas and initiating improvement</li>
<li>You have delivered software projects end-to-end, with full ownership and many learnings along the process</li>
<li>You are familiar with Javascript, Git, HTML, and CSS. You have experience with a modern Javascript framework such as Vue, React, etc.</li>
<li>You have experience with relational databases like Postgres and SQL.</li>
<li>You have a strong interest in products that leverage AI</li>
</ul>
