TrendMiner, a leading industrial analytics platform, empowers engineers and operators to optimize
processes through self-service analytics. As part of our team, you'll contribute to a SaaS platform that

The position is available full-time as soon as possible and is based in Hasselt, Belgium. It follows a hybrid work model (2 days in-office per week).

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect (gn) to lead the design and optimization of our cloud
infrastructure on AWS. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure our multi-
tenant SaaS platform is scalable, secure, and reliable. This is a hands-on architecture role that blends
strategy, innovation, and execution.

Your Role

• Architect and evolve TrendMiner’s AWS-based SaaS environment with a focus on scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
• Design hybrid-cloud strategies that bridge on-premises and cloud environments.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Define and enforce cloud security best practices (IAM, encryption, segmentation).
• Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and automation.
• Guide containerization efforts using Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and ArgoCD.
• Stay current with emerging AWS and cloud-native technologies to drive innovation.
• Support database performance tuning and efficient query design in SQL-based systems.

• Ensure platform reliability and availability with resilient architectures and incident response plans.

  Success in this role requires good development practices, deep expertise in AWS architecture, an
  understanding of on-premises infrastructure, and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, DevOps, and security teams to deliver a robust, scalable cloud platform.

Your Skills

Must-haves

• Strong knowledge of AWS, DevOps and cloud-native SaaS Architecture.
• Preferably background in the field of data analytics or similar.
• Experience with modern cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, ArgoCD and Helm.
• In-depth knowledge of software design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Experience in programming languages such as Go or Java EE and typescript.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Fluent in English and preferably Dutch. Nice-to-have
• Experience with monitoring and logging solutions such as Grafana, Prometheus, or similar tools.

• Familiarity with Python and backup/recovery tools like Velero.
