We are Paxly, a B2B SaaS startup based in Leipzig. We connect packaging buyers with suppliers through our smart procurement platform – think of it as the missing link between “I need 1,000,000 cardboard boxes” and “here’s the best supplier for your specs.”
We have hit product-market fit, have paying customers, and now we our looking to scale. Not just the product, also the engineering team.
Who is behind this
Three founders. Torsten is our packaging industry expert – he knows the domain inside out. Klaus and Hendrik are seasoned entrepreneurs with a track record of building and scaling companies. We have done this before. This time, we are doing it in packaging.
The honest situation
Right now, our tech team is tiny: one senior developer and our CTO. We are not a 50-person engineering org with layers of process. We are two people who ship things.
That is where you come in.
What you will do
You will be the third engineer – but really, the first hire that shapes how we grow. You will work across our main platform (Java/Angular) and touch our AI-powered document processing system (Python). You will help us build CI/CD pipelines, improve test coverage, and strengthen our engineering foundations.
This is not a “implement tickets from Jira” role. You ‘ll have opinions. You’ll push back. You’ll help us decide what to build, not just how.

You don’t need all of it. Java + Angular is the core. The rest you can learn.
