Paragon International University invites applications for a Part-Time Lecturer to teach ITL 306 – International Trade Financing. This course provides students with practical and theoretical knowledge of financial instruments and payment mechanisms used in international trade, including letters of credit, documentary collections, trade finance risk management, foreign exchange, and bank-supported trade services.

The successful candidate will help students understand how financial systems support cross-border trade and manage commercial and financial risks.

Tasks

  • Deliver lectures and practical sessions on international trade finance instruments and processes.
  • Develop and update course materials, assignments, case studies, and assessments in line with the approved syllabus.
  • Guide students in understanding and applying trade payment methods (L/C, T/T, D/P, D/A, open account, etc.).
  • Introduce real-world trade finance cases from banks, exporters, importers, and logistics firms.
  • Facilitate class discussions, group work, and applied problem-solving activities.
  • Assess student performance and provide timely feedback.
  • Maintain academic records and comply with university academic policies.
  • Collaborate with the ITL Department on curriculum improvement and quality assurance.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in Finance, Banking, International Business, International Trade, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional experience in trade finance, banking, export-import operations, or corporate finance is highly preferred.
  • Teaching or training experience is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English.
  • Commitment to academic integrity and student-centered learning.
