We’re looking for a Senior Elixir Fullstack Engineer to join our empowered product team, building simple, elegant software from complex requirements.
This is real product work - meaningful, fast-paced, and focused on impact.
We’re a small, hands-on team that owns a single product end to end.
Start date: December 1, 2025 or January 5, 2026.
<h2>Tasks</h2>
<ul>
<li>Build and maintain a high-quality, maintainable codebase written in Elixir with Phoenix, LiveView, TailwindCSS and daisyUI.</li>
<li>We are building the product in small iterations, we prototype early and often, everybody is encouraged to move forward on their own accord</li>
<li>Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and other Engineers to find smart solutions that balance speed, quality, and simplicity.</li>
<li>Shape our architecture for reliability, scalability, and developer happiness - we’re building a long-term platform here.</li>
<li>Build a clean, maintainable and tested codebase.</li>
<li>Take ownership of privacy and security aspects from the start - encryption, data separation, and GDPR compliance are part of the product, not an afterthought.</li>
<li>Contribute ideas to improve our development process, stack, and team culture.</li>
</ul>
Nice to have (but not required):
<ul>
<li>Experience with handling sensitive data, ideally health-related data.</li>
<li>Solid understanding of encryption, key management, and data privacy.</li>
<li>Knowledge of DevOps and hosting environments.</li>
<li>Familiar with Shape Up as an outcome-driven, autonomy-based approach for agile software development.</li>
</ul>
Your Application
We’re a tightly knit, empowered product team that values clear, thoughtful communication over volume - so please read the following carefully and keep your communication clear, concise, and human. We can spot AI slop, promised!
In your cover letter:
<ul>
<li>Share your motivation for applying.</li>
<li>Tell us why this role fits your way of working.</li>
<li>Share a project where you built something simple from complex requirements.</li>
<li>Optionally, tell us how you’ve dealt with privacy/security challenges before.</li>
</ul>
Besides that, what we’re looking for / hoping to find:
A concise CV highlighting your most relevant roles, with clear responsibilities and impact.
Optionally: a small portfolio or repo snippet that shows your code, architecture thinking, or side projects you’re proud of.
<h2>Requirements</h2>
<ul>
<li>You have several years of professional experience as a Fullstack Engineer, ideally with Elixir or another Ruby. </li>
<li>You care about code quality, but not for its own sake - you balance pragmatism with craftsmanship.</li>
<li>You love working in small, empowered teams where you can shape not just the product but also how it’s built.</li>
<li>You come with a product mindset: if something’s unclear, you explore it instead of waiting for perfect specs.</li>
<li>You understand the basics of GDPR and secure software design and know why that matters.</li>
<li>You’re curious, reflective, and enjoy learning – including from failed experiments.</li>
<li>Professional-level English is required; German is a plus.</li>
<li>You can work remote, but hybrid in Berlin would be ideal – that’s where our product and design team sits.</li>
</ul>
<h2>Benefits</h2>
At our company, you’re not just part of a company - you’re part of a movement that drives real change in senior care. Every day, we work on one of the biggest challenges facing Western society, doing so with conviction and full energy. Your ideas and commitment will have a direct impact on the daily lives of caregivers and those in need of care.
At myo, you can truly be yourself. We support you and place our trust in your hands. With our learning budget (€1,000 per year), you can keep growing and carve your own path. Building a strong myo culture is incredibly important to us: we enjoy team lunches and work out together. To support that, we even cover part of your Urban Sports membership. You can join us for classes or try your own - both are easily accessible through our mobility budget. And afterwards, you can make yourself a fresh coffee with our portafilter machine – and pet our office dog (yes, dogs are welcome here!).
What We Offer
<ul>
<li>A truly empowered product team with freedom to make real decisions.</li>
<li>A product that’s already live, growing fast, and makes a real difference in people’s lives.</li>
<li>Ownership and impact from day one - your code will directly improve how social care works in Germany.</li>
<li>Short decision paths, intense focus, and a healthy pace (we don’t do chaos).</li>
<li>Mentorship and peer exchange from a highly experienced Elixir developer.</li>
<li>Flexible hours, hybrid work options, and a trusting culture with open feedback.</li>
<li>A motivated, kind team that supports each other and celebrates wins.</li>
<li>Competitive pay, 29+1 days of vacation (including a “sport day”), and an annual learning budget (€1,000) for your own growth.</li>
<li>The position is also open to part-time (80%) arrangements.</li>
