The Complete Seat Engineer will support the design, development, integration, packaging, validation, engineering release, and manufacturing considerations of complete automotive seating systems and related components.
The position requires experience in automotive seating systems and subsystems, strong proficiency in CATIA V5/V6, and knowledge of seating-system regulations, tooling, validation, manufacturing, and assembly processes.
Tareas
- Apply engineering design and development concepts to automotive complete seating systems.
- Design seats and seat components, including Foam Headrest, seat plastic, Cables, Lumber, and trim cover.
- Develop Master Sections.
- Support Vehicle Integration and Vehicle packaging.
- Create seating-system concepts.
- Support assembly processes for various seat parts.
- Apply knowledge of tooling and seat manufacturing processes.
- Prepare and maintain engineering release and change documentation.
- Perform complete-seat packaging studies of seating components.

- Thorough knowledge of engineering design and development concepts for complete automotive seating systems.
- Very good proficiency in CATIA V5/V6.
- Experience designing seats and seat components, including Foam Headrest, seat plastic, Cables, Lumber, and trim cover.
- Relevant experience with Master Sections, Vehicle Integration, Vehicle packaging, Concept creation, and assembly processes for various seat parts.
- Knowledge and understanding of tooling and seat manufacturing processes.
- Ability to prepare and maintain engineering release and change documentation.
- Ability to perform complete-seat packaging studies of seating components.
- Working knowledge of regulatory and certification requirements for seating systems, including FMVSS regulations.
- Experience maintaining and developing DVP and DFMEA.
- Good knowledge of seating-system and component manufacturing processes.
