Senior Product Manager - Crossborder Infrastructure

Role Mission
At Monato, we are building real financial infrastructure — including a platform to move money across borders with efficiency, control, and profitability.
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to take full ownership of the Crossborder product, from strategic design to profitable operation in production.
This is not a backlog management role.
This is about building and operating a financial business line where product, regulation, risk, liquidity, and revenue are deeply interconnected.

Why This Role Matters
Crossborder is not a feature.
It is a new strategic business unit for Monato — a payments infrastructure vertical designed to process high-volume international flows with operational control, regulatory compliance, and scalability.

Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Crossborder product with a strong focus on economic impact and scalability.
Design and optimize the product’s economic model (pricing, spreads, operational costs, liquidity management).
Translate market opportunities and regulatory requirements into executable product initiatives.
Prioritize initiatives balancing revenue, risk, speed, and complexity.
Align Engineering, Compliance, Operations, and Business stakeholders through influence-based leadership.
Define, measure, and evolve critical KPIs (revenue, transaction volume, latency, reliability, cost per transaction).
Ensure product stability, operational efficiency, and continuous evolution in production.
Make decisions under regulatory and operational uncertainty, taking accountability for financial impact.

5+ years leading products in fintech, payments, remittances, or financial infrastructure.
Experience launching and operating products with direct revenue impact.
Prior experience managing products that process real money (transactions, settlement, reconciliation, FX).
Strong understanding of international money flows: FX, settlement, liquidity, compliance.
Experience operating within regulated financial environments (CNBV, SPEI, IFPE, or similar frameworks)
Ability to model and optimize unit economics (spreads, transaction costs, margins).
Experience managing mission-critical products in production environments.
Proven track record of making decisions with direct financial impact and owning outcomes.
Influence-based leadership and strong execution-oriented strategic thinking.

Nice to Have
Knowledge of stablecoins (minting / burning mechanics).
Technical background or strong crypto and security literacy.
Experience in Mexican financial regulatory environments.
