Systems and Network Administrator

Tasks
Network Management
- Design, maintain, and optimize LAN, VLAN, WAN, iSCSI, and VPN configurations
- Configure and administer WiFi networks (UniFi), Cisco-managed switches, and routers
- Implement and maintain site-to-site and client-user VPN solutions
- Conduct network monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting (L2/L3)
- Ensure network segmentation, traffic prioritization, and firewall policy management aligned with security standards
System Administration
- Administer and maintain hypervisors: Proxmox PVE and Backup Server, ensuring high availability and data integrity
- Manage and harden VMs (RHEL 9.4/9.5, Rocky 9.5, Debian 12, Windows Server 2025)
- Manage systems such as SAN storage, OPNSense, UniFi, VMWare Player
- Prepare and assign workstations (primarily Apple macOS) for new hires
- Support user onboarding/offboarding (tools, credentials, backups)
- Maintain system orchestration and perform regular updates
Tools & Software Ecosystem
- Administer solutions such as Google Workspace, Odoo, Asana, GitLab
- Evaluate, deploy, and maintain MDM solutions
- Work with various software/protocols: Bash, Docker, qemu, Ansible, Slurm, PostgreSQL, SELinux, Duplicity, GPG, SSH, LDAP, Zabbix, GLPI, Traefik, PGAdmin4
- Collaborate on the management of HPC environments and storage systems
User Support & Documentation
- Manage IT tickets and incidents through structured workflows, ensuring timely resolution
- Create and maintain user documentation and IT administration guides
- Contribute to the continuous update of the IT project tracking solution
- Evaluate new hardware/software technologies and drive their adoption where relevant
- Assist with deployment and maintenance of IT equipment
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of professional experience in system and network administration within a Linux-heavy environment
- Proven expertise with virtualization (Proxmox or VMware), networking (L2/L3), and system hardening
- Good understanding of cybersecurity principles and system hardening
- Familiarity with backup/restore strategies, disaster recovery, and monitoring best practices
- Professional working proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required
- French is a plus but not mandatory

Education
- Bachelor's / Professional Bachelor's / Master's degree in IT, Network Engineering, or related field
