At JOIN, we believe hiring should be easy, fast, and fair – for companies and candidates alike. That’s why we’re building intuitive, powerful recruiting software that helps businesses of all sizes find the right people effortlessly.
As our Teamlead Accounting & Finance, you’ll play a central role in enabling JOIN’s next phase of growth.
You'll work directly with the CEO and leadership team to own our financial planning, keep our books in shape, and make sure we're investor-ready at all times.
This is not just another finance role – it's an opportunity to gain real exposure to fundraising and board-level reporting, shape how JOIN scales its financial infrastructure across multiple markets, and directly influence the decisions that drive the company forward.

Tasks

What you’ll be doing
Your work will directly support JOIN’s focus, speed and effectiveness. Here’s what that looks like:

Own JOIN's financial planning cycle — budgeting, rolling forecasts, and cash flow planning — and translate SaaS metrics into clear recommendations for leadership

Lead and oversee the accounting function — including financial close, statutory reporting, and HGB compliance

Own board-level financial reporting, KPI packages, and be a key contributor to financing rounds and investor due diligence

Drive adoption of modern financial tooling and AI-powered workflows to raise the speed and quality of the team's output

Lead, coach, and develop a team of two — setting clear expectations and supporting their growth

Who you’ll work with
You'll work directly with our CEO and serve as the primary contact for our investors and external auditors. You'll lead one direct report: our Accounting Manager.

Requirements

What we’re looking for
We don’t believe in rigid checklists – but if most of these apply to you, we’d love to chat:
✔ Proven experience in financial planning (budgeting, forecasting, cash planning) in a SaaS or B2B tech environment
✔ Hands-on accounting expertise and solid knowledge of German GAAP (HGB)
✔ Experience owning investor reporting — board decks, KPI dashboards, and support for financing rounds
✔ At least 1 year of people management experience with direct reports
✔ Data-driven and AI-literate: you leverage modern financial tooling to work smarter and faster
✔ You are fluent in English
Bonus points for

You were part of due diligence processes for investment rounds or M&A deals

Knowledge of Spanish GAAP / SL structures or Swiss GAAP / OR

German language skills

Benefits

🚀 Ambition at scale – We embody ambition as individuals, committed to scaling our business.
At JOIN, we thrive in a fast-moving, collaborative environment, and we are looking for colleagues who do too. That means:

We love collaborating in the office sharing knowledge with all colleagues, and we do understand the flexibility of working from home when needed

We adapt quickly and embrace change in a growth-oriented startup environment

We continuously challenge ourselves and each other to improve

This role might not be ideal if:

You prefer a highly structured environment.

You want a fully remote position.

You prefer minimal change and a slower pace.

You’re not excited about ownership and growth.

🏠 Relocation support – Assistance with paperwork, travel, and one month of furnished accommodation.
What to expect from the hiring process
We respect your time and keep things transparent:
1️⃣ Intro call (~45 min) – Let’s see if we’re a good match.
2️⃣ Deep Dive (~45 min) – Walk us through your finance and accounting experience in detail.
3️⃣ CEO Interview (~45 min) – Get to know our CEO and talk strategy, vision, and fit.
4️⃣ Onsite Case study (~90 min) – Show us how you think and meet the team.
