Hi, I am Céline, the founder of Flow Hummus, a fast-growing food startup revolutionizing plant-based meals with our signature hummus poké bowls. Since launching last year, we’ve achieved significant milestones: opening our first location in the heart of Zurich, expanding our offerings to include catering and office lunch deliveries, and building a strong foundation for future growth. Our mission is to establish a renowed brand in Zurich and Switzerland offering delicious, innovative, and convenient meals.

I’m seeking a co-founder (COO) passionate about food, well-being, and scaling businesses to take ownership of operations and product quality. From streamlining production to managing logistics, your role will ensure Flow Hummus operates efficiently and exceeds customer expectations. Together, we’ll take Flow Hummus to the next level—evolving into a food tech company creating personalized foods. This pivotal step will significantly increase Flow Hummus’ value by entering the innovative food tech market.

Tasks

Operational Strategy and Planning:

  • Design and implement efficient operational strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Set operational priorities to drive growth and scalability.

Supply Chain and Production Management:

  • Oversee the procurement of ingredients and materials to ensure quality and cost-efficiency.
  • Manage production schedules to meet demand while minimizing waste.

Logistics and Delivery Oversight:

  • Streamline delivery processes for office lunch pre-orders, catering, and retail operations.
  • Ensure timely, reliable, and customer-friendly distribution systems.

Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, train, and manage staff for production, logistics, and customer service.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative team culture.

Partnership Development:

  • Coordinate with partners, including suppliers and logistics providers, to build reliable networks.
  • Support collaborations with local businesses and event organizers.

Event and Venue Coordination:

  • Handle operations for food stands, festivals, and events to ensure seamless execution.
  • Optimize setups at venues like Food Club Bellevue.

Requirements

  • Operational Expertise: Proven experience in managing and optimizing operations, preferably in the food, FMCG, or retail sectors.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead teams, motivate staff, and create a collaborative and efficient work atmosphere.
  • Supply Chain Management: Knowledge of logistics, inventory control, and supplier negotiations to ensure seamless production and delivery processes.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze data to improve operational performance.
  • Project Management: Track record of successfully planning and executing projects on time and within budget.
  • Startup Experience: Familiarity with the fast-paced, hands-on nature of startup environments is highly desirable.
