The HSG START Accelerator is a new launchpad for tech-driven startups in Europe – initiated as a joint project of the University of St.Gallen (HSG), the START Foundation, and the Switzerland Innovation Park East (SIP Ost). Our mission: to make Europe’s best tech startups investor-ready and set them up for growth and international expansion.
We are looking to expand our team! In your role as a Marketing, Communication & Event Assistant, you will be the voice of the accelerator, playing a key role in building our brand, managing our community, and ensuring our mission resonates across the European startup ecosystem.
Tasks
- Take ownership of the operational planning and execution of accelerator events (demo days, community events, partner events) and third-party appearances.
- Coordinate invitations, registrations, logistics, materials, and on-site event support.
- Execute marketing and communications activities across channels (incl. social media, newsletters, website) based on the overall strategy.
- Create, edit, and maintain content and marketing assets (incl. posts, visuals, presentations, event materials).
- Support community communication with startups, partners, and ecosystem.
- Coordinate with partners and support PR and visibility activities.
- Support the team during ongoing program batches with hands-on tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree in Marketing, Business or related field.
- Practical experience in marketing, communications, or event organization is a must.
- Experience with design and content tools is a strong plus.
- Strong writing skills, a creative mindset, and a hands-on attitude.
- Reliable, structured, and able to manage multiple tasks in parallel.
- Native in German, fluent in English.
- Passion for startups, new technologies, and entrepreneurship.
