Hostly is seeking a skilled and driven Sous Chef to support kitchen leadership and deliver exceptional dining experiences. You will assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations, maintaining high food quality and safety standards, and ensuring smooth service in our boutique.
Tasks
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily kitchen operations, leading the team in the Head Chef’s absence
- Supervise line cooks and kitchen staff to ensure high-quality, efficient service
- Support menu planning, recipe development, and food testing
- Act as expeditor during service, coordinating communication between front and back of house
- Assist with inventory management, food ordering, and staff scheduling
- Uphold the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie, preferably in a hotel/boutique setting
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Solid knowledge of food safety and kitchen best practices
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
