Van Hoorn Carbide specializes in the development and manufacture of high-quality carbide cutters. These have been successfully marketed worldwide for many years through a network of distributors and own branches.

At Van Hoorn Carbide, you will work in a two-shift system within our modern grinding facility. During an extensive induction process, you will be taught everything you need to know to sharpen tools. In time, you will be able to produce both specials and larger series with unique 9-axis grinding machines with their own control. In addition to producing accurate high-quality mills, drills and reamers, your other tasks and responsibilities include:

• setting up and adjusting the CNC grinding machines;
• measuring and analyzing the ground products;
• ensuring that the products meet the requested specifications to an accuracy of 1 mμ.

What do you bring to the table as a CNC tool sharpener?
As a CNC Grinder you have a technical background in the metal (working) industry, or you have a mechanical or technical educational background. You see it as a challenge to make accurate and unique products. In addition to this, you have:MBO working or thinking level;

• experience with reading technical drawings;
• genuine interest in learning the trade.
