📝 Position Details

• Anticipated Start Date: Q2/2025.
• Duration: 3 to 6 months (full-time).
• Type: This internship can be completed either as a mandatory study-related internship (Pflichtpraktikum) or as a voluntary internship.
• Location: Remote or based in Leipzig. Remote work is available at locations within +/-1 hour of CET, but you must be based within the EU.
• Team Weeks: Trips to team on-sites in Leipzig are covered.

As a Business Development Intern at getML, you will play a key role in supporting our growth in the machine learning sector. Your responsibilities will include:

• Developer Marketing: Create and implement marketing strategies targeting data scientists working with relational or time-series data. This includes identifying key channels, developing content, and monitoring its effectiveness.
• Business Development: Identify and engage developer hubs or companies seeking external engineering support for machine learning projects, with the goal of building valuable partnerships.
• Tool Utilization: We embrace automation! Support business development efforts through the effective use of tools and contribute to refining their use for optimal results.
• Process Improvement: Collaborate with founders and engineers to assist in the development and enhancement of business development strategies and operational processes.

You will be treated as a regular member of our team, with the opportunity to take full responsibility in various areas – whether it’s contributing to customer projects, developing product features end-to-end, or supporting other key initiatives that drive the company forward. 🌟

Our past interns and working student have gone on to work for large tech companies, start their own startups, or (our favorite 😇) - join us full-time.

At getML, we value passion, creativity, and the willingness to grow more than a specific set of qualifications. However, here are some attributes that would help you thrive in this role:

• Degree in business informatics, business administration, economics, or a related field, with a strong understanding of the machine learning and AI sectors.
• Native-level fluency in 🇩🇪 German and strong command of 🇬🇧 English, as you’ll be working with both German-speaking markets and an international audience.
• A creative and strategic mindset, capable of identifying opportunities and proposing innovative solutions that drive business development in the ML space.
• Ability to establish strong working relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders, clients, and team members, alongside clear and concise written and verbal communication.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace, Google Analytics, HubSpot, and Notion is preferred, but a willingness and ability to quickly learn and adapt to these tools is equally important. Experience with Make.com (formerly Integromat) would be a plus.
• Familiarity with Google Apps Script and basic coding skills are a plus, enabling workflow automation and optimization.

💰 Compensation: We want to offer compensation that aligns with industry standards. To maintain a transparent and fair approach to compensation, the salary ranges for all positions are determined based on market benchmarks and a comprehensive leveling framework.

For this role, Leipzig based salary ranges from 2.200€ to 2.500€ p.m., depending on the leveling we’ll establish with you throughout the hiring process and based on a 40-hour work week.
