Senior Legal & Compliance Specialist

We are looking for a Senior Legal & Compliance Specialist to strengthen the Group’s compliance framework while also providing broad legal support across business, commercial, healthcare, and regulatory matters. This is a hands-on role for a senior professional who can build structure, improve internal controls, support business growth, and help ensure that operations are aligned with applicable legal and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and continuous improvement of the Group’s compliance framework, internal policies, procedures, and controls
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards across the business, including GDPR, IVDR, ISO-related requirements, healthcare-related rules, and broader corporate compliance obligations
• Provide practical legal support on commercial, corporate, operational, and healthcare-related matters
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, NDAs, partnership agreements, and other business documentation
• Identify compliance and legal risks, recommend mitigation measures, and support strong governance and decision-making
• Advise cross-functional teams on compliance, legal, regulatory, and business matters to enable compliant growth
• Support product, operational, and market activities to ensure alignment with legal and compliance requirements
• Coordinate with external legal counsel, auditors, certification bodies, and regulatory stakeholders

Qualifications

• University degree in Law (LL.B., LL.M., or equivalent)
• 10+ years of experience in compliance and legal roles, ideally in Biotech, Pharma, MedTech, Life Sciences, healthcare, or another regulated industry
• Strong understanding of compliance systems, business law, commercial contracts, regulatory frameworks, and healthcare-related legal requirements
• Solid knowledge of GDPR, IVDR, ISO-related compliance standards, and broader legal/compliance governance
• Hands-on, structured, pragmatic, and business-oriented approach
• Strong communication, drafting, and stakeholder management skills
• Professional fluency in English and Slovenian
