Whether to support defense forces, for rapid disaster response, or for construction projects off the beaten track. We plan, build, and operate camps and temporary infrastructure. In doing so, we manage camp infrastructure, including power generation, water supply, and sanitation in a wide variety of environments.
For our catering operation in a military base in Latvia, we are in urgent need for an experienced Catering Project Manager.
Tasks
- Organize, lead and motivate the catering team
- Plan staff shifts and rota’s
- Plan menus taking into account special diets and allergies, cultural and nutritional requirements and budget
- Monitor the quality of the product and service provided
- Ensure food hygiene and health and safety regulations are met according FEPS internal QA system
- Manage budgets and establish financial targets and forecasts
- Keep financial and administrative records
- Manage the payroll and monitor spending levels
- Maintain stock levels and order new supplies as required
- Interact with customers if involved with front-of-house work
- Recruit, train and manage permanent staff
- Ensure compliance with all employment regulations
- Meet profit and financial expectations
Requirements
- Graduated from hotel or catering school
- High experience in collective catering (1000 pax buffet style)
- Experience with managing costs
- Extensive knowledge of food safety/HACCP
- High level of English is a must, both spoken and written
- The candidate must have a passport from a NATO country and eligible to work in the EU
- Experience with military customer is a plus.
- Clean police record is a must
- Culinary knowledge and menu planning experience
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to lead and motivate a team of 70+ staff
- Excellent customer service skills
- Flexibility and the ability to solve problems and make decisions in a pressurized environment
- A creative and innovate approach to problem solving
- Tact and diplomacy
- Drive and determination to improve service delivery, overall standards and profitability
- General administrative and IT skills
- Numeracy and financial skills to manage a budget and ensure a profit.
- Driving licence B.
