Your mission

This is a company built for growth.

At exmox, you’ll work on real systems on a big scale. We build high-performing consumer products used by millions of users, operating in a highly competitive, global mobile gaming ecosystem.

Our products are data-driven by design - powered by event-driven architectures, complex business logic, and fast feedback loops. Decisions are informed by data, experimentation, and measurable impact, not gut feeling.

We’re scaling fast and building one of the most exciting innovations in mobile gaming: rewarded user acquisition. That means distributed systems, evolving architectures, and problems that don’t have textbook answers.

As a Senior QA Engineer (f/m/x), you will take ownership of quality across features, contribute to the evolution of testing practices, and ensure that product releases meet both technical and business expectations. If you’re excited by complex systems, high traffic, data-driven decisions, and the chance to grow by solving challenging problems, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Own

Test planning & execution
You develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts, ensuring that all software releases meet functional and technical requirements.

Defect identification & feedback
You identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies, providing early and actionable feedback to developers to improve product quality.

Automated testing & CI/CD
You implement automated testing solutions and integrate them into continuous integration processes, improving coverage, reliability, and repeatability of tests.

Collaboration & QA improvement
You work closely with development teams to understand requirements, participate in code reviews, and contribute to the evolution of QA methodologies, practices, and workflows.

Your profile

Experience & QA expertise
5+ years of hands-on QA experience with a strong focus on automation. Deep understanding of QA methodologies and testing strategies for backend, frontend, and API-driven systems.

Automation frameworks
Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar).

CI/CD & release quality
Extensive experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable and high-quality releases.

API & tooling knowledge
Strong knowledge of API testing tools and frameworks, version control systems (Git), and modern branching strategies.

Agile & collaboration
Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps.

Problem solving & root cause analysis
Able to quickly identify issues, analyze root causes, and propose effective solutions.

Communication & documentation
Strong skills in documenting test strategies, risks, and quality metrics.

Quality ownership & mindset
Proactive, detail-oriented, and fully accountable for the quality of deliverables. Continuously drives improvement of testing processes, automation, and reliability.

Why us?

Ambitious people, real ownership. You’ll work with driven, entrepreneurial people who care deeply about what they deliver, challenge each other openly, and own outcomes together.

We’re playing at the top, but we’re not done. Our apps rank in the top 5 of their categories. We’re determined to push further, compete harder, and earn the number one spot.

You own your own growth. Growth doesn’t happen by accident. At exmox, learning is built into the work - through responsibility, feedback, and real challenges.

Perks that help you focus on what matters. Transport subsidy, learning budget, wellness and gym, workation, bi-weekly team lunches, and more. The perks are great - but the real reason people join and stay is the challenge, the people, and the drive to win together.
Please note: this is not a remote only position, we offer you a flexible hybrid model here in Hamburg, Germany - working from home on Mondays & Fridays, coming to the office on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday!
