Operations Technology Manager
Berlin · Full-time
About Every
Every is building the default way to eat better during the week. We operate both D2C subscriptions and B2B channels across DACH and BNL, growing 100% YoY. Our ambition is to keep scaling significantly in the coming years.
Operations is the engine that makes this possible, and we're now investing seriously in the technology behind it.
The Context
We recently built out a dedicated product and engineering team. Our data foundation is solid: we run BigQuery as our data warehouse with Holistics for BI, and our engineers are focused on product.
But as we've grown, a clear gap has opened up in how our Operations teams use technology day to day. Procurement, production, inventory, fulfillment, and logistics are still running on a mix of spreadsheets, manual handoffs, and SQL scripts in Google Sheets. The foundation is there, but the connective tissue isn't.
This role exists to fix that. You'll sit at the intersection of operations and engineering, with direct collaboration with our tech team, and your primary mandate is Ops.
The Role
We’re looking for an Operations Technology Manager to own the systems, integrations, and automation that make our Operations teams faster and smarter. This is a senior individual contributor role: you own both the strategy and the execution.
You come from an engineering or technical background, you understand how physical operations work, and you ship things. You don't just advise them.
What You’ll Own
- Evaluate, select, and implement off-the-shelf tools across the ops stack
- Own rollouts end-to-end: requirements, configuration, integration, adoption
- Act as internal product owner for ops tooling: manage a backlog, prioritise ruthlessly, ship continuously
Integrations & data
- Extend our BigQuery + Holistics setup into ops workflows and build the dashboards and data models ops teams actually need
- Design and build integrations with external partners (e.g. EDI with fulfillment centers)
- Engineer data pipelines that eliminate manual data movement across systems
- Own data integrity across the ops landscape: one source of truth, always
Automation & process engineering
- Identify manual, repetitive workflows across Operations and engineer solutions to eliminate them
- Write scripts and automations hands-on (Python, SQL, Apps Script) where off-the-shelf tools don't cover the gap
- Build operational infrastructure that scales with volume without scaling headcount proportionally
Financial & KPI reporting
- Build and own the KPI framework and reporting infrastructure for all Operations functions
- Engineer the financial bridge between ops and finance: cost projections, actuals, variance tracking, COGS & CM2 reporting
- Design dashboards that drive weekly decisions, not just monitor numbers
What Success Looks Like (12–24 Months)
- Ops teams spend less time on manual data work and more time on decisions
- Our BigQuery data model covers the full ops landscape: systems are connected, data is reliable
- EDI integrations with key partners are live, stable, and require zero manual intervention
- Finance and Operations work from the same numbers, with projections and actuals always aligned
- A clear KPI framework exists across all ops functions, with dashboards that drive weekly decisions
- Automation has measurably freed up time across ops teams
What We’re Looking For
- 4–6 years in a technical role with strong ops or supply chain exposure (systems engineering, business systems, operations technology, or similar)
- A proven builder: you have shipped systems and integrations end-to-end, hands-on, in resource-constrained environments
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, SQL, Apps Script, or equivalent)
- Comfortable working with BigQuery or similar data warehouse; experience with BI tooling (Holistics, Looker, Metabase, etc.)
- Experience evaluating and implementing SaaS tools and owning rollouts across non-technical teams
- Advanced spreadsheet engineering: you build infrastructure others depend on
- Solid understanding of how supply chain or physical operations work
- Highly self-directed: you manage your own backlog, set priorities, and deliver without being chased
- Experience with EDI integrations and/or ERP/WMS environments a strong plus
- Fluent in English (C2); German is a plus
