Clerk

Everest is a fast-growing deep-tech startup developing sensor technology essential for scaling negative emissions. Our mission is to enable 1 billion tons of CO₂ removal per year by 2035. In our first year we delivered hundreds of sensors across five continents.

As our Operations Assistant, you’ll be the operational backbone of the company, keeping our Berlin HQ running smoothly, managing facilities, coordinating critical shipments, and supporting core admin tasks. The role offers a unique window into the logistics of a rapidly scaling climate-tech company.

Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and working closely with R&D and engineering, you’ll build strong operational skills in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment.

Tasks

  • Logistics & Inventory: Handle procurement, manage inventory, and carefully pack/ship sensor products to customers.
  • People & Culture Support: Coordinate candidate interviews, serve as the employee liaison for basic benefits/payroll questions, and organize company events (e.g., team dinners, holiday party).
  • Office & Facilities: Manage cleaning staff, coordinate trash pickup, order and stock supplies, and maintain overall office organization.
  • Basic IT & Admin: Onboard new hires (email/access), manage software subscriptions, and track company hardware assets.
  • Finance Support: Organize invoices, match receipts to credit card charges, and coordinate documentation with our accountant.
  • Field Support: Assist the engineering team with sensor deployment and basic field testing (requires occasional travel).

Requirements

  • Bias to Action: You take ownership, push tasks forward quickly, and reliably turn plans into results.
  • Detail Oriented: Highly reliable, organized, and comfortable managing both office and light technical workflows
  • Startup Mindset: Versatile, eager to tackle admin, logistics, and manual tasks.
  • Natural coordinator: Able to effectively communicate with engineers and scientists in English and outside partners in German (delivery people, cleaning staff, etc.)
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with basic digital tools (Google Workspace, spreadsheets, device tracking tools) and adaptable to new software

Benefits

  • Direct exposure to day-to-day operations of a cutting-edge deep tech startup
  • Work with repeat founders and top scientists and engineers building next-gen technology
  • Opportunity to learn the modern startup tech stack, production workflows and logistics processes
  • Modern workspace in central Berlin with a fast-paced, collaborative team
  • Supportive culture focused on learning, execution, and meaningful climate impact
