We're a group of DTC brands selling in the US, mostly on Meta, with Google, TikTok and YouTube behind it. Q4 is our biggest quarter. We're adding one editor who cuts ads that sell and already works with AI video generation every day.
What good looks like
An editor who worked with us this year built a podcast style ad with two AI presenters and no real footage, regenerated scenes until the lips matched the voice, sent a preview before generating the second language so nothing was wasted, and turned a three cut brief (long, 30 second, mixed) around in a day.
Beyond the work itself: you know what's on TikTok and in the Meta ad library this week, not last quarter. You want to get better every month and you'll ask for the harder brief. A quiet role where nothing changes would bore you. If that's you, apply.
Tasks
- Briefs come from the creative lead: an angle, a hook, a product, sometimes a reference ad. You turn each one into a finished ad.
- A weekly target of new concepts and hook variations, agreed with you in week one. Concepts and variations count separately, so you're never asked for 40 versions of one idea.
- Part of it is real footage: creator UGC, product shots, gallery images. A growing part starts from nothing: an AI presenter, a generated scene, a synthetic voice. If you only want to cut filmed footage, this isn't the role.
- You see spend, hook rate, CPA and ROAS on every ad you make, within days. You iterate on what spends and drop what dies.
- Our own creative generation tool is in build. Image ads now, video next. You work alongside it and tell the team what's wrong with the output.
Requirements
- AI first. You research what's selling right now, write the prompts, direct the tools, and get an ad out of them that makes people buy. You can tell when the output looks fake before anyone else does.
- Two or more of these in regular use, and an opinion on which is best for what: Veo 3, Kling 3, Seedance, Runway, Higgsfield, Nano Banana Pro, Midjourney, ElevenLabs.
- 2+ years cutting direct response ads for Meta. Links, not a CV.
- Premiere or DaVinci at speed. CapCut for trend formats.
- English copy a US shopper reads as native. Hooks, captions, a script when the brief only gives an angle.
- 4 hours a day overlapping with UK time. Async the rest of the day.
- EU Timezone
Benefits
- Short loop. Brief to live ad in days, and you see the result, so every week you know what worked.
- Full data access. Your ads, your numbers, same dashboard the media buyers use.
- One scorecard, updated every Monday, visible to you. Bonus tiers are tied to it, so you know what the bonus is for before you earn it.
- Tool subscriptions and generation credits for briefed work are covered. You don't fund our ads.
- Reply within 3 working days. No test task. One call where you show your work, then a decision.
- The editor who learns the generation tool best runs video on it as it grows.
