## Tasks

*   **Engineering Design & Prototyping**: Transform your ideas into tangible prototypes, enhancing the reliability and performance of mechanical systems. 
*   **Analysis & Testing**: Conduct tests and simulations to analyze the performance of mechanical components and systems, identifying areas for optimization and improvement. 
*   **Collaborative Projects**: Collaborate with engineers to integrate new instrumentation into our materials acceleration platform, advancing our autonomous catalyst discovery platform. 
*   **Technical Documentation**: Help prepare and maintain technical documentation, including reports, schematics, and process flows for existing and new systems. 
*   **3D Modeling & CAD**: Assist in creating and refining 3D models, CAD designs, and simulations to support engineering tasks.

## Requirements

**What You'll Need** 

*   **Solid Engineering Knowledge:** A strong grasp of mechanical engineering fundamentals, with experience using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and engineering analysis tools. 
*   **Passion for Clean Tech & Automation:** A deep interest in sustainable technologies and the transformative role of automation and robotics in accelerating materials breakthroughs. 
*   **Problem-Solving Mindset:** A natural ability to identify challenges and develop innovative solutions that move projects forward. 
*   **Collaborative Spirit:** Strong communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams of engineers, researchers, and technical specialists. 
*   **Proactive & Organized:** Capable of juggling multiple tasks and responsibilities while maintaining focus and delivering high-quality work. 

**Nice to Have:** 

*   Experience with materials science or energy systems. 
*   Familiarity with rapid prototyping and 3D printing technologies. 
*   Exposure to simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL). 
*   Knowledge of scripting for automated hardware testing. 
*   An understanding of sustainable engineering practices and clean energy systems.
