In this role, you will be at the forefront of battery technology, working on the verification of energy storage systems (batteries and associated subsystems) to ensure they meet safety, performance, and functional requirements. Your testing will explore the characteristics and functionalities of individual or complete battery pack systems.
You will work closely with development teams, suppliers, and other cross-functional teams. Therefore, being skilled in working within cross-functional, international environments and communicating effectively in English (both written and spoken) is essential.
Tasks
We are seeking experienced verification engineers with the following responsibilities:
- Develop test methods and test requirements
- Prepare rig/vehicle environments with the necessary test instrumentation
- Conduct risk analysis with a focus on safety
- Execute and monitor tests, recording measured data
- Post-process and analyze test data
- Report test summaries and observations to relevant stakeholders
- Increase the automation of testing procedures
- Develop improved ways of working within the ESS verification area
Requirements
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a similar relevant field
- At least 3 years of experience in battery development and/or testing of battery packs or modules
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with Python, MATLAB, and Vector Tools
- Proficiency in English (oral and written)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in commercial vehicle or automotive product development
- Experience with AVL testing environments for battery packs
- Battery testing experience in vehicle environments
- Truck/bus driving license
