Location: Bucharest, Romania (Hybrid – 3 days/week in the office)
Contract type: CIM (Individual Employment Contract) – 6 months, with possibility of extension, or B2B collaboration
We are looking for a Mid-Level Payroll & HR Administration Specialist to manage personnel and payroll processes, ensuring accurate and compliant handling of employee data, timekeeping, and salary calculations.
Tasks
- Administer personnel and payroll processes in line with Romanian labor legislation
- Calculate salaries, social contributions, income tax, and applicable deductions
- Centralize and process timekeeping data
- Ensure accurate and error-free data entry into payroll systems
- Communicate clearly with employees regarding pay slips, timekeeping, and payment-related questions
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive salary and personal data, in line with GDPR requirements
Requirements
- In-depth understanding of the Labor Code (individual employment contracts, work programs, bonuses, overtime)
- Knowledge of the calculation method for social contributions (CAS, CASS), income tax, and applicable deductions in Romania
- Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, pivot tables) for data centralization and timekeeping
- Previous experience with payroll software (e.g., Saga Software, DP Payroll, GlobalSal, WebSal, True HR) is a major advantage
- Strong attention to detail for correct data entry and error-free payroll processing
- 2–3 years of direct experience in personnel and payroll administration
- Experience in a personnel leasing company is a plus
- ANC (National Qualifications Authority) accredited diploma for Human Resources Inspector and/or Payroll Inspector/Referent is a strong asset
- Confidentiality – ability to handle sensitive salary data while respecting ethical norms and GDPR rules
- Strong communication skills – ability to clearly explain pay slips, timekeeping, and payment matters to employees
