As part of a long-term collaboration, we are recruiting, on behalf of a warm and open-minded Swiss family – sensitive to other cultures and based in Renens (near Lausanne) – a reliable and motivated individual to care for their two young children (aged 3 months and 2 years) and to carry out daily housekeeping duties, contributing to the smooth functioning of the home.
Preferred start date: ideally September 1, 2025, at the latest by the end of September.
The ideal candidate is conscientious and warm-hearted, enjoys caring for young children, including infants, and has previous experience in childcare — gained within her own family or in a professional context. With integrity, honesty and the ability to build a trusting relationship, she will share the family’s values of respect, responsibility and mutual support.
Gentle and patient, the nanny will focus primarily on the children’s comfort, well-being and safety, spending quality time with them. Proactive and able to take initiative, she will assist parents with the baby’s care (changing diapers, feeding, rocking) and actively support morning and evening routines (dressing, preparing meals for the children). She will also contribute to the children’s development through age-appropriate activities such as play, reading, walks.
This part of the role will represent approximately 80% of her duties. Well-organized and able to prioritize tasks, she will dedicate the remainder of her working time to household chores aimed at maintaining cleanliness, order and laundry care (washing, ironing) within the family home.
Preferred age between 20 and 30. Good command of one of the following languages: French, German or English (minimum level A2–B1).
Terms of employment:
Workload: 90 to 100% (35–42 hours per week)
Working hours: compact hours between 07:00 and 19:00, spread across 3.5 days, allowing time to attend a language course or further training
Days off: 3.5 days per week (Saturday, Sunday + 1.5 weekdays – usually Tuesday and Thursday)
Salary: to be determined individually, based on the candidate’s training and experience, in accordance with the Federal standard employment contract (CTT) for domestic work, effective 01.01.2024
Contract duration: indefinite, with a preference for long-term employment
Salary, paid holidays, rest days, social insurance and other employment conditions will be regulated by an employment contract compliant with Swiss federal and cantonal regulations.
Accommodation: This position includes live-in accommodation with the host family (a sine qua non condition). Ideal opportunity for newly arrived individuals in Lausanne wishing to integrate safely and lay the foundations for their future. The employee will have a furnished private room and access to all amenities of the household.
Place of residence: Renens, in a pleasant residential neighborhood close to Lausanne and easily accessible by public transport.
