## As our Backend Engineer - Elixir (m/f/x), you will be...

* **Playing** a central role in the design and development of our backend system and architecture.
* **Contributing** actively to product management and influencing our features right from the start.
* **Lifting** the intelligence of our robo advisor and the efficiency of our insurance operations team.
* **Interacting closely** with colleagues who use your software to service our customers.
* **Conceptualising and delivering** features on a platform that will soon serve > 500,000 customers.

## What you ideally have

* 3+ years of professional software development experience.
* Solid understanding of the principles of backend engineering, domain modeling, and core web technologies.
* Strong knowledge of Elixir programming language and its ecosystem.
* Experience with Phoenix web framework.
* Understanding of functional programming principles.
* You have a sound knowledge of cloud infrastructure and provisioning, especially using AWS.
* Strong understanding of software development best practices and design patterns.
* Understanding and applied experience in Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment.
* Solid grasp of SQL and relational Databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
* Experience with Erlang/OTP is a great asset.
* And finally, experience with Javascript Frontend Frameworks especially with React and React Native is nice to have.
