Clariyu is an entertainment company focused on building a modern character franchise through cozy, expressive play. Our experiences feature original characters and social interactions that invite players to shape the world together. We’re debuting on Roblox and designing for growth across platforms and media to reach fans wherever they play and watch.

We are looking for a dedicated roblox programmer to join our team and collaborate closely with our programmers. You’ll be collaborating with our programmers to design and maintain core systems that drive the player experience.

Our current game is a creation-driven story game with parallels to Papa’s Pizzeria. You’ll be assisting in the development of systems such as mesh deformation and decoration systems, dialogue trees, interactions, shops, and more.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for implementing essential gameplay features and backend logic, such as:

• Interactive creation systems

• Player-driven progression mechanics

• Dialogue and branching narrative systems

• Shops, economy, and user interaction flows

• Additional systems to support long-term content updates

Proven experience in both front-end and back-end Luau programming

• Knowledge of optimization practices for performance across a wide range of devices

• Ability to write clean, modular, and scalable code

• Strong communication skills and willingness to attend weekly meetings

• Reliability in meeting deadlines and delivering milestones

• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently when needed

• Curious and not afraid to ask questions

Nice to Have

• Experience with Roblox’s Editable Mesh and Editable Image APIs

• UI animation experience within Roblox

• Prior work on simulation/tycoon-style games

• Familiarity with Agile-style workflows or task tracking tools (Notion, Trello, etc.)

• Equity/stock options for long-term contributors

• Revenue share participation in our first game

Compensation

• Game revenue share of first game (%)

• Equity in the company (on standard vesting schedule)
