Senior iOS Developer - Shenzhen based
This is a remote role based in Shenzhen, China. This position is essential for building up Bragi R&D in China
Tasks
- Requirements analysis from both SoC vendor and Bragi
 - Feature and Mobile library offering and support by a given SoC vendor
 - Identify gaps between the vendors offering and Bragi's support and vise versa
 - Bragi FW and mobile middleware integration and validation
 - Mobile SDK adaptation to match to the existing SoC feature offering and firmware interfaces
 - Developing and implementing advanced iOS applications and libraries
 - Collaborating in and with cross-functional teams to define, design, and launch new features
 - Evaluating and implementing new technologies to enhance development efficiency
 - Improving performance, debugging and refactoring
 - Ensuring robust and reliable software through focus on testability
 - Communication between the customer and Bragi's R&D in Europe: Identify blockers and suggest improved approaches and documentation for fast time to market
 - Design, implement and improve support processes between the development teams in China and Europe e.g. documentation, extend or develop tooling
 - Support ODMs and test engineers (ODM, at Bragi) as part of the "Bragi certification program" to ensure a flawless support of the Bragi feature offering
 
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in iOS development
 - Good English spoken as well as in reading and writing (engineering work level) mandatory
 - Experience with native app development using first party Apple technologies
 - Deep knowledge of Swift programming paradigms
 - Solid understanding of Architectural Models and Design Patterns
 - Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
 - Solid experience with standard Bluetooth without reliance on third-party libraries
 - Experience with custom Bluetooth protocols without reliance on third-party libraries
 - Understanding of Apple’s SW design principles and interface guidelines
 - Share industry best practices of good SW craft
 - Ability to understand business requirements and perform decomposition of a complex feature
 - Experience in working with either of the following chipsets: JieLi, WuQi, Actions, Bluetrum, BES
 - Experience with CI/CD (Gitlab or Github or similar) for mobile
 - Experience with writing unit tests
 - Experience in hiring and mentoring of other engineers
 
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of Objective-C and Reactive programming paradigms
 - Interaction with MFI devices via Bluetooth
 - Understanding of user interface guidelines
 - Experience with automation testing
 - Previous experience with wearables or IoT devices
