Embedded Firmware Engineer - Shenzhen based

This is a remote role based in Shenzhen, China. This is a FW developer position

Tasks

  • Prototyping, integration and development of drivers and components in embedded C for customer audio projects ( TWS Earbuds, Headsets, Speakers ) according to the product requirements
  • Hardware/SW configurations and measurements during prototyping and pre-production
  • Developing unit and integration tests to verify software integrity using C and Python
    Using static analysis tools to check for potential issues in our codebase
  • Collaborating with mobile developers to ensure compatibility between the firmware and mobile applications
  • Co-development with SoC vendors on the development of Bragi enabled FW to support Bragi AI Audio applications
  • Onsite development and debugging with the customer and collaboration within a development team
  • Support ODMs and test engineers (ODM, Bragi) as part of the "Bragi certification program" to ensure a flawless support of the Bragi feature offering

Requirements

  • 5-7 years experience as Embedded Engineer
  • Native Mandarin speaker with good English reading and writing skills (suitable for engineering work), and a fair spoken level English
  • Strong C coding skills, in particular for embedded systems
  • Knowledge of common peripheral interfaces like SPI, UART, I2C and USB
  • Experience in reading sensor datasheets and implementing drivers
  • Hardware familiarity (logic-analyzers, oscilloscopes and power measurement equipment)
  • Experience with dynamic agile teams working with Scrum and KanBan workflows

Strong plus:

  • Experience with Bluetooth or other wireless communications protocols
  • Prior experience working with mobile developers
  • Experience with production processes and support
  • Experience in working with either of the following chipsets: JieLi, WuQi, Actions, Bluetrum, BES, Qualcomm, Airoha
  • Work experience in an international environment
