The German-Moldovan Agricultural Policy Dialogue (APD) is a bilateral project funded by the German Ministry of Food and Agriculture through GFA Consulting Group and will support the EU adaptation process of the Government of the Republic of Moldova in the field of agriculture and rural development. The APD project serves as a multi-stakeholder platform and will support the project partner, Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAIA) of Moldova, in aligning key agricultural regulations and administrative systems with EU requirements.

The APD project is implemented by Berlin Economics and DLG International since 1st November 2023 for a period of three years until 31st October 2026 (two years extension possible). The APD project is fast-paced and covers over two dozens of activities.

Start date: Mid-October 2024, or earliest convenience

Tasks

  • Office management and administration (resp. for day-to-day project business, communication by phone and email, coordination of appointments and general support to the project team)
  • Event management, logistical organization of workshops, seminars, and conferences
  • Coordination of interpretation and translation activities
  • Conducting translations of written documents from English to Romanian
  • Logistical support for project assignments of international short-term experts
  • Editorial revision and formatting of texts, preparation for printing or online publication
  • Writing contributions for media and public relations incl. social media
  • Supporting work for regular project reporting (preparation of project reports)
  • Support project accounting and record-keeping of all physical and electronic documents related to the project activities

Requirements

  • Successfully completed commercial training or relevant university studies (Law, Economics, Agriculture, Social Science, Marketing, or other relevant fields)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project / office administration
  • Working experience in donor-funded international cooperation projects
  • Accounting skills and ability to apply due diligence in record-keeping
  • Excellent command of office applications (MS Office) and digital tools for communication (Zoom, MS Teams, etc.); experience in content management and social media platforms
  • Very good organizational skills and a problem-solving approach
  • Demonstrated resilience and adaptability in fast-paced, high-pressure settings
  • Ability to work in a team, self-reliance, high degree of reliability and accuracy Fluency in Romanian and English required, working knowledge in Russian highly desirable, knowledge of German is an asset
