We are seeking a Data Steward to support enterprise-level data governance initiatives as part of a newly formed group focused on centralizing governance activities across structured and unstructured data domains. This includes Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, and internal ERP systems.
This is a long-term position with strategic impact across global teams, including India and LATAM.
The candidate will report directly to the US-ITS Data Strategy & Governance Officer (Office of the CDO) and will collaborate closely with stakeholders across business lines and enabling areas.
Tareas
Responsibilities
- Act as subject matter expert in best practices for data governance and quality, ensuring safeguards are in place.
- Demonstrate active ownership of specific data domains, processes, and procedures.
- Create and edit data requirements, models, dictionaries, process maps, and data lineage/mapping.
- Capture and document metadata across data domains using standardized approaches.
- Communicate with stakeholders to gather, review, and address data requirements and feedback.
- Define valuation and quality measures and share them across business units.
- Manage metadata and data quality processes using tools such as Informatica, Collibra, SAP, and Microsoft 365.
- Tag and classify unstructured data (e.g., PII) across platforms such as SharePoint, Teams, and ERP systems.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards, GDPR, SOX, and internal AI data controls.
- Manage assets within DTUS (Data Technology Unified Services) and support lifecycle governance for SuccessFactors/HXM data.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts, monitor results, and conduct benchmarking activities.
- Partner with the PMO to integrate governance into project lifecycles, including data migration.
- Lead change management and training related to the rollout of the Data Governance program.

Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in data management with proven ability to analyze, interpret, and explain systems and approaches for data to enable business decisions.
- Strong knowledge of relational database theories and schemas.
- Relevant Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Finance, Data Science, or Statistics.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in dynamic, evolving environments.
- Strong collaboration skills with flexibility, diplomacy, and a customer-focused mindset.
- “Can do” attitude with willingness to solve problems both strategically and tactically.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Informatica, SAP, Collibra, Microsoft 365 platforms.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations (GDPR, SOX, PII handling).
- Experience managing unstructured data.
- Knowledge of ISO standards and AI-related data governance controls.
- Previous experience supporting global teams (India, LATAM).
