The Opportunity
You will have the opportunity to build an exciting career in a fast-growing industry by playing a key role in the venture capital ecosystem. Core to the role will be leading the management of our investor base for Funds I, II, and III for all communication and capital account matters, as well as to help the management team with insights towards building an investor base for Funds going forward. Additionally, you will be overseeing the next generation of Angel Investors towards relaunching the AV Network on an operating role. Finally, the role also requires that you reach out to other Venture Capital Funds that might be interested in participating of current opportunities from Angel Ventures portfolios.
Tareas
Responsibilities and Key Activities
- Interface with Limited Partners for all Funds
- Attend meetings and events with LPs, potential LPs and related players in the ecosystem (relationship development)
- Support Capital calls preparation and management, delivery and follow-up for all LPs
- Assist in the development and support of current portfolio companies, helping to unlock their growth potential
- Support the investment team in the analysis of potential investment opportunities, including due diligence efforts, negotiation and financial modeling
- Participate in periodic business review meetings with the portfolio companies, to understand their development
- Organize investment committees with our PR team
- Preparation and creation of marketing materials, including presentations and investment memos
- Support the operation of AV Fellows, our MBA internship program
AV Network Management
- Coordinate AV's regional investor network, from the scouting and on-boarding of new individual, institutional (including family offices) and corporate members.
- Manage deal flow sharing with network members according to investment preferences and generate possible co-investments with AV.
- Coordinate positioning and capacity building events for angel investors such as periodic investor / demo days, and internal investor trainings and in partnership with regional and international partners.
- Attend PEVC ecosystem events to generate AV Network positioning and on-boarding of new members.
Requisitos
Preferred Skills, Experience & Profile
- At least 2+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, wealth management or any other position that collaborates with investors in the financial sector.
- Excellent oral and written (English and Spanish) communication skills, with the ability to confidently interact with high-profile players in the industry and a horizontal, international team.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with ability to communicate clearly to diverse groups.
- Detail oriented self-starter with ability to work diligently and efficiently in an unstructured environment.
