Bring healthy pet food into the mainstream by owning the numbers that drive it. As part of AlphaPet Ventures, CPRO / CERAL combines the agility of a Belgian SME with the backing of an international pet food group. As our Senior Accountant, you are the primary contact point for all financial topics and take full ownership of our local accounting and payroll accounting, connect our team, our fiduciaire and APV Group Finance, and have real room to shape our processes, controls and systems.

Your responsibilities

• You own all of CPRO / CERAL's end-to-end accounting in Odoo: invoices, accounts payable and receivable, daily bank and payment-provider reconciliations, intercompany positions, payments, dunning, fixed assets and accruals under Belgian GAAP
• You prepare a complete, reviewed monthly and year-end closing file for our fiduciaire, and you are the main contact for auditors and inspections
• You are responsible for CPRO / CERAL’s full tax and statutory compliance: every Belgian filing, from VAT, Intrastat and corporate tax to payroll, the UBO register and the annual accounts, is accurate and on time, in coordination with our fiduciaire and social secretariat
• You manage cash and cashflow forecasting, deliver monthly reporting to APV Group Finance, prepare financial analyses and budget inputs for the General Manager and CFO
• You run monthly payroll with our social secretariat: you prepare the inputs, check payslips before they are released, book payroll and reconcile the ONSS/RSZ and withholding-tax accounts

Your profile

• Several years of hands-on accounting experience in an SME or startup, with sound knowledge of Belgian GAAP, VAT and statutory reporting as well as practical experience with Belgian payroll
• Strong analytical skills, an independent, structured and detail-oriented way of working, and discretion with financial and payroll data
• Clear communication and confident stakeholder management, from the General Manager and CFO to the fiduciaire, social secretariat and auditors
• Solid experience with Odoo or a comparable ERP system as well as strong Excel skills
• Excellent French (C2) and fluent English (C1)
