Machine Learning - Internship
Akina is an ETH Zurich spin-off building real-time human motion intelligence for robots. Our products Zendo and Yume turn standard cameras and video into 3D human motion data, used to train and control robots that work alongside people. We are looking for a working student to build with our engineering team in Zürich.
Tasks
You will contribute directly to Zendo (real-time motion capture) and Yume (video-to-data engine). Depending on your strengths:
- Work on computer vision and human pose estimation pipelines
- Build and test our Rust and Python SDKs
- Improve model accuracy, performance, and real-time throughput
- Prototype features and turn research into shipped code
Full-time, hybrid on-site at Technopark Zürich and up to 2 days work from home, minimum duration 6 months.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled or graduated from ETH Zurich, EPFL or ZHAW (we hire only from these)
- Studying computer science, robotics, electrical engineering, or a related field
- Solid Python, plus experience with or willingness to learn Rust
- Comfortable with machine learning and computer vision fundamentals
- Available full time for at least 6 months
- Able to work on-site in Zürich
