We are seeking an experienced and safety-oriented Anodizing Line Supervisor to oversee the safe, stable, and cost-effective operation of our automated aluminum anodizing line. In this role, you will lead a shift team, ensure strict compliance with international quality standards, and guarantee on-time delivery of high-quality finished products. Tasks
- Plan line loading, assign personnel, monitor production schedules, and ensure all throughput and quality targets are met.
- Maintain process discipline to meet strict customer and industry specifications including AAMA, ASTM, MIL and customer specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, including dimensional tolerances, cosmetic criteria, and coating thickness requirements.
- Organize routine cleaning, inspections, and minor repairs of immersion tanks and line equipment, and coordinate with Maintenance for larger interventions.
- Provide hands-on, on-the-job training and coaching for operators and line technicians regarding safety, process control, and quality standards.
- Actively participate in reducing scrap or rework, minimizing downtime, improving throughput, and optimizing chemical, energy, and operational expenses.
- Work closely with the Lab for bath control and process parameters, as well as Quality, Logistics, and client representatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- An Associate degree or Technical diploma may be considered with 7–10+ years of directly related anodizing experience and proven leadership capabilities.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the manufacturing of anodized aluminum products, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory, foreman, or lead role in an anodizing department.
- Strong, hands-on understanding of sulfuric acid anodizing processes, surface preparation, coloring, and sealing.
- Practical experience with line equipment such as rack systems, immersion tanks, automatic hoists, rectifiers, chemical dosing systems, and wastewater treatment interfaces.
- Mandatory knowledge of safety training related to OSHA standards for working with hazardous chemicals, PPE, and Lockout/Tagout.
- Formal certificates in aluminum anodizing technology from the Aluminum Anodizers Council or similar industry bodies.
- Training in quality management systems like ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 and working knowledge of APQP, FMEA, or PPAP for automotive and architectural customers.
- Background working with well-known international or large regional customers in automotive, architectural, aerospace, or defense industries under formal quality standards.

- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage a team in a complex, multi-step chemical manufacturing environment.

- Effective communication skills for working with management, cross-functional teams, and customer representatives.
