You’ll take this position only if your love for Jesus compels you to do everything possible to point people towards Him.
We serve a God that is worthy of our praise, and when all else is stripped away, a heart of worship is what God desires from us. When the Church gathers, we have a chance to join together and magnify our praise to God as we grow deeper in our love for Him. It is this genuine love and devotion that then perpetuates into every area of our lives as we walk out the church doors and into a world that so desperately needs to know and experience the love of Christ.
Philosophy:
Providence Church holds a high view of music as a part of our overall worship experience. Rather than see music as a “primer” or a “product” we see it as a biblical way that we can magnify God and lead others to do the same. Therefore, the Worship Ministry Director is expected to see their role as more than just providing “good music” but as shepherding the congregation to develop a culture of worship, developing and equipping volunteers in their gifts and abilities, and treating worship as a ministry of faith in which to magnify God.
