COMMUNITY MANAGER (w/m/d)
Full-time 38.5 hours | Location: Wels

We are looking for the heart and soul of our new campus in Wels: a talented communicator who can not only organize but also inspire. You are a host, feel-good manager, and networker all rolled into one. You will work closely with the team in Vienna to ensure consistent quality and support while giving the new campus its own unique spirit.

Your mission

• Pioneering work: You bring our new campus to life and build the local community from scratch.
• Host & Hub: You are the first point of contact for students and guests, creating an atmosphere where people feel comfortable, learn productively, and enjoy spending time.
• Ambassador: You spread the spirit of 42 to the outside world, anchoring us in the local scene in Wels and inspiring future talent to join our program.

Your responsibilities

• FeelGood & Campus Vibe: You are responsible for the atmosphere on campus. You listen to students and create a safe environment that fosters motivation and connection. You also make sure that students respect the values of 42.
• Person of trust: You are available to help students with their issues and regularly stay in touch with students regarding their progress in their studies.
• Events & Leisure: You organize fun events that strengthen team spirit (game nights, regular get-togethers, parties) and encourage the team and students to participate.
• Communication: You are the voice of the campus; you are responsible for the weekly campus newsletter and keeping everyone up to date with campus news and events.
• Marketing & Social Media: Content creation is an essential part of your work. You support campaigns, curate content for our social media channels from everyday campus life (“Life at 42 Wels”), and increase our visibility in online and offline media.Local network: You will build and actively maintain relationships with the local community, the city of Wels, and partner companies in Upper Austria.

The strengths we are looking for:

• Experience: You have training or several years of professional experience in community management, marketing, event management, PR, or the hotel/hospitality industry.
• Personality: You are a real "people person." You have an agile mindset, empathy, and a hands-on mentality. You aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves and get things done.
• Structure: You work independently, are organized, and keep track of things even in hectic situations.
• Communication: You are articulate, enjoy writing, and act as an authentic brand ambassador.
• Mobility: You are willing to travel occasionally (e.g., for exchanges with the Vienna campus).

Your skills:

• Languages: Excellent German and very good English are required. (French is a nice-to-have, but not a must).
• 42 Expertise: Knowledge of the 42 concept is an advantage, but not a must.
• Digital Savvy: Proficient in standard office tools and social media platforms.
