  • Have you used Google Adwords to support your work before? Can you tell me which other tools you’ve used in your work?
  • Can you walk me through what SEO is and the importance of keyword research? 
  • How do you pick effective digital marketing KPIs and how would you rank their importance?
  • What is the difference between SEO and SEM? 
  • For all of the questions above you should be reassured that the candidate understands the basics of their position and is already familiar with the common tools.
  • What would you say makes digital marketing different from traditional marketing?

  • Gives you a good sense of the candidates personality and how they work with other people.
  • Have you worked on a cross functional project before? How many people were in the team and how did you find being involved? 
  • This should represent what kind of person they are in different situations and how they connect with different team members.
  • If you were tasked with improving the overall traffic of our company, how would you structure that process and how would you measure its success?
  • They should have a solid process and know which KPIs would be most important for traffic improvements.

Best interview questions for a Growth Marketing

Performance Marketing Interview Questions

Finding the perfect candidate for a Growth Marketing or Performance Marketing Manager position shouldn’t just have the appropriate marketing experience, but also:
