THE ROLE

Do you want to join us in bringing our customer-facing analytics, monitoring, and self-service cockpit to the next level? We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for quality and good architecture.

Join us in building the experience for the business customers of our high-performing streaming product and the upcoming streaming-as-a-service platform!

THE BRIDGE TEAM

The Bridge platform, built by the Bridge Squad, offers our B2B customers everything they need to run a successful streaming product. It offers a variety of data insights, deep-dives, and analytics about usage and quality of experience. Additionally, it provides transparency of the customer’s product configuration, tooling for resolving support issues, messaging, and much more.

We are currently working on offering full configurability, extended data insights, and we have many more exciting things on the horizon for making Bridge the best-in-industry self-service cockpit!

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Architect, develop and maintain the core functionality in a cross-functional stream-aligned squad, alongside Backend and Frontend engineers, a Product Manager and a Product Designer, and an Engineering Manager
• Build data-driven features, integrating with various data tools (ElasticSearch, ClickHouse and other APIs)
• Improve and maintain quality standards through clean code and proven engineering practices
• Help identify and solve challenging problems, creating an awesome experience for our business customers
• Drive innovation through collaboration with other squads at Zattoo to transform their data, insights and configuration into value-driving features in Bridge
• Involve principal engineers to continuously improve technical architecture and code quality standards
• Work in an environment that supports your individual growth
• Become a valued member of Zattoo’s Engineering team and improve our core services

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer
• High-level proficiency in Python 3 for scalable SAAS applications (preferably with FastAPI)
• Passion for quality and deep understanding of how to reach high standards through sound engineering practices like test automation and CI
• Solid understanding of systems design, data structures, and algorithms
• Experience with frontend technologies like React/TypeScript and Material UI
• Experience in building highly available services and APIs
• Good understanding of and experience with different data stores and data processing pipelines (Elasticsearch, Redis, Postgres, Scylla, Clickhouse, Kafka)
• Proactive team player mindset, focus on delivering value to users, and passion for your craft
• Drive to continuously improve team processes
• Impact through your communication skills and love for sharing your knowledge with others, helping them grow
• Fluency in verbal and written English

Bonus:

• Startup experience
• Solid hands-on experience with TDD and CD
• Experience with micro-frontends and monorepos

• Experience with service-oriented event-driven architectures
