Tasks

  • You own yamo’s overall D2C business, its growth strategy, budget and execution across paid and unpaid user acquisition & retention channels with the goal to maximise ROI and overall D2C revenue
  • As an expert in data driven performance marketing, you and your team will build campaigns in the classic channels (paid social, SEM, Youtube ads, affiliate, remarketing, display, email/CRM etc.) better than any agency ever could
  • Build, lead and mentor the growth team in order to scale our D2C business across Europe. Closely monitor paid acquisition and provide tactical execution strategies, mentorship, and guidance for the team to develop
  • Collaborate closely with platform to implement e-comm growth strategies and funnel improvements to optimize the onsite experience for our traffic
  • You ensure consistent tracking on all campaigns and develop a pipeline for experimentation across marketing channels, audience targeting, creative, and messaging
  • Build short-term (30, 90, 180 day) and long-term (1-5 years) D2C growth goals and strategies based off of the company’s mission and vision and communicate this with your team and the rest of the company. Build out KPI goal-tracking and motivate your team to hit our business plan targets in terms of customer acquisition and retention which you set yourself
  • Perform analysis on marketing performance data (from the smallest campaign up to the overall funnel & mix) and develop the reporting framework to share and align on growth strategy & execution across the company
  • Be a true owner in the business. We will collectively look to you to lead the D2C growth team in addition to being a critical voice in the overall company strategy - we are looking for someone who can roll up their sleeves and act as key driver of the business
  • Partner with our creative team to build an ever-improving workflow to consistently request, utilize, and deliver feedback on new creative assets which your team A/B tests in paid channels
  • Develop a strong relationship with brand marketing to ensure proper attribution and measurement of brand lift and effects of marketing campaigns on paid acquisition

Requirements

  • You have at least 5+ years experience managing performance marketing and multi-million budgets that tie into revenue targets, ideally in D2C companies
  • You are highly technical and analytical, knowing your way around attribution models, adtech, analytics, segmentation, automation etc., and you’ll do anything to gain an incremental edge over the algorithm. You evaluate and interpret performance data; confident with Excel, pivot tables, cohort analysis, ROI calculations, etc.
  • You are familiar with key growth concepts such as CAC, LTV, activation, retention, referrals, churn, cohorts, etc, and know how to use these types of metrics to drive smart and efficient decision making
  • You think about growth in systems and frameworks, connecting the dots between marketing, product and revenue touchpoints
  • You have an intuitive understanding for how to market great consumer products but are very analytical and operate with a 'strong opinion, loosely held' mindset
  • Strong communication skills and demonstrated experience in leading and empowering a team through ambiguity and inevitable ups and downs
  • A deep love for both the thrill of early-stage startups and the challenges that come with scaling
  • You have the ability to switch between operational and strategic and like to get your hands dirty to solve problems, big or small
  • Excellent oral and written English skills, German is a strong plus
