Traila, a privately-owned Swiss start-up based in Regensdorf, is seeking a Simulation Engineer to join our dynamic and international team. Specializing in developing a deep-tech active steering technology for the rail industry, we aim to significantly reduce wear and tear of wheels and rails, as well as noise and vibrations. Tasks

  • Contribute as a member of the Development Team towards achieving Traila's goals.
  • Develop and implement MBD simulation models to analyze and optimize the performance of our active steering technology.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to collect and analyze data from field trials.
  • Validate and verify simulation models by comparing them with real-world data.
  • Maintain records on the verification activities and creation of verification reports.
  • Identify areas for improvement and propose design modifications based on simulation results.
  • Contribute to the development of new tool-chains to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of our simulations; including the development of HiL, SiL, and PiL simulation capabilities.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Strong knowledge of MBD simulation software and tools
  • Experience in conducting simulations and analyzing results
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB and Simulink
  • Interdisciplinary knowledge in mechanics, software, and electronics
  • Good written and spoken English and German language skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with specific ability to write at a professional and technical level for test report documents
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
