Seaweed Farm & Facilities Manager in Donegal, Ireland

If so, The Seaweed Company invites you to join our team as the Seaweed Farm & Facilities Manager in the beautiful Mulroy Bay and Downings area of County Donegal, Ireland. This role will require on-site working at our facilities close to Mulroy Bay, Co. Donegal.

As the Seaweed Farm & Facilities Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the daily operations of our seaweed farm in the pristine waters of Mulroy Bay and oversee our seaweed processing line in Downings. Your responsibilities will include:

• Offshore Responsibilities - Managing Daily Seaweed Farm Operations: Overseeing the day-to-day operations at our seaweed farm, ensuring the cultivation, monitoring, harvesting, and maintenance processes run smoothly and efficiently.
• Onshore Responsibilities - Supervising Seaweed Processing facility: Managing our seaweed processing facility in Downings, where harvested seaweed is processed and prepared for various applications. This will include: managing and organizing utilities needed for the full operation of the facility, managing staff needed for day-to-day operations, ensuring Health & Safety

Qualifications:

• Seaweed/Aquaculture Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in the seaweed or aquaculture industry, with a deep understanding of the marine environment.
• Project Management Skills: Ability to plan and execute a variety of projects simultaneously
• Communication skills – Ability to communicate plans and projects to the steam team and feed-in to strategy discussions
• Stakeholder management – liaising with our local and global stakeholders
• Team- orientated – ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
• Strong Leadership skills & strong problem solving Skills
• A Self Starter
• Operational Expertise: You should have a hands-on, technical approach to managing the daily operations, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards.
• A bachelor’s degree or diploma (or equivalent) in the STEM field.
