Impact project Data & AI powered seaweed farms

Are you ready to apply your modeling and Data/AI skills for impact at scale? Do you think you can further tech-enable our regenerative seaweed farms? Then you may play a pivotal role in developing our novel operations & predictive models for The Seaweed Company’s seaweed operating system. Throughout this internship assignment, you get the unique chance to apply your big data modeling skills to one of the most sustainable nature- based impact solutions of the moment. We are looking for a 2 month intern that is experienced in working with (big) data & analytics and who is eager to take the lead is developing the next version of TSC’s in-house tech stack with its novel data-driven operational models solutions. Throughout this assignment you will work in close collaboration with the Operations & Technology team.

What will you do:

• Designing & developing TSC’s in-house predictive data models comprising of various data-driven operational components (e.g. yield predictions, operations management dashboards & advices)
• Piloting & implementing the updated tech stack with the Ops team members for the ’24 growing season starting September/October ‘23)

Who are you:

• You are experienced in working with (big) data, Data & Analytics, AI powered tools, sensor tech and predictive modelling for applied business solutions.
• Strong interest in tech, AI and how that can help to drive sustainability and impact at scale of nature-based solutions
• You are a self-starter & team worker that can work independently and is always curious for data-driven solutions that not have been thought of by others
• You like to work in a dynamic and international start/scale up organization

Requirements:

• Experienced in building (operational) models with business stakeholders that have shown to have been working in practice and have delivered business value
• Available for a period 2 months for 3-4 days per week. Start September 2023.
• Based in The Netherlands
• A good command of the English language and preferably Dutch
• Analytic, conceptual and data-driven mindset and can do mentality
