Senior Software Engineer

Kronis is the first SaaS in Europe oriented to facilitate the administrative and management tasks of European grants for R&D&I projects.

• Collaborate in a cross-functional team to design, develop, and maintain software applications that align with Sploro's business objectives and technical requirements
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality software deliverables
• Work closely with the CTO to standardize the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes, introducing industry best practices, methodologies, and tools to improve delivery and optimize the development process
• Establish and promote coding standards, guidelines, and best practices within the development team to ensure consistency, maintainability, and scalability of the codebase
• Mentor and guide less experienced developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and adherence to established coding practices

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science with a focus on software engineering
• Interest in Sploro's business model
• Minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience, with proficiency in Python preferred
• At least 3 years of experience in product development, either at a product startup or in outsourcing with a proven track record of remaining on the same project for the duration of that time
• Willingness and ability to work with legacy codebases, as well as to write maintainable test code and production code

• Medium-High level of English

Hands-on knowledge in the following topics is highly desirable:

• Django or FastAPI frameworks
• Amazon Web Services and cloud deployments
• Domain-driven design - although we are not into DDD yet, it'd help a lot
• Event-driven architectures - let's start together on the road to events

After the first analysis of your application, a member of our team will conduct a technical interview with you (around 30 minutes). Once the technical test has been passed , a member of the management staff will conduct a personal interview with you before the final selection.
