Slowness is a collective of People, Places and Projects that reframe the way we live, work and interact. Drawing insights from regenerative agriculture, adaptive reuse and the slow movement, we are currently developing places around the world that offer a deeper, more conscious and collaborative form of hospitality.

Along with our destination strategy to own, develop and operate places & projects in creative hubs, we are currently in different stages of developing several projects – the largest one being the Flussbad Campus in Berlin. Beginning its phased opening in 2023 with the Reethaus, Flussbad will grow over the next year to encompass hotel rooms, working lofts, a restaurant, an auditorium for learning and exchange and an advanced holistic health program spread across campus.


Flussbad is our home for adventurous culture & ideas and the base for our central organization providing services for Slowness globally. Supporting the Flussbad brand team, the Head of Brand Marketing & Comms plays a pivotal role in enhancing the Slowness brand as well as our community engagement efforts. You will manage the creative team and processes in alignment with the group's overall goals and milestones driving the strategy for brand engagement, community activation, positioning, and communications.

Working closely with the CEO and leadership team, you will take on responsibility for short-term projects and long-term strategy, aligned with broader commercial and business objectives.

Key Objectives:

  • Develop and execute a long-term brand & communication strategy.
  • Plan and execute content & editorial projects.
  • Supervise creative processes to ensure effectiveness and economic viability.
  • Strategically manage brand architecture, cross-departmental synergies, and commercial goals.
  • Launch & position Flussbad and other Slowness projects, ensuring integration of core values.
  • Conceptualize, develop, and implement strategic partnerships.
  • Ensure engagement through communications and documentation of Campus programming, partnerships, community engagement, and membership programs.
  • Develop a global and local PR strategy to position Flussbad and other Slowness projects.
  • Create a digital marketing strategy to contribute to company goals and expand brand reach.
  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of brand and communication KPIs and budgets.
  • Establish a network of key local individuals, connectors, opinion leaders, and creatives.
  • Act as ambassador of the Slowness brand, vision, and business to external stakeholders.

  • Collaborate strongly and effectively with key positions in hospitality operations.
  • Manage external creative and technical service providers and partners.


  • Proven experience as Head of Brand Marketing & Comms or in a similar role. Experience with clients in the hospitality or culture field would be highly valued.
  • Expert Knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma and Keynote.
  • Strong creative, concept and organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English & ideally German.
  • Passion for food, culture, design, and travel.
