Tasks
Installation and Commissioning:
- Install and commission propulsion systems on various vessels.
- Conduct system start-ups and ensure proper functionality according to specifications.
Maintenance and Repair:
- Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections of propulsion systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, and execute repairs promptly.
- Replace or repair defective parts and components.
Customer Support:
- Provide on-site technical support and training to customers.
- Respond to service calls and emergency repairs, ensuring minimal downtime for customers.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their needs and concerns.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, including reports on installations, maintenance, and repairs.
- Document technical issues and solutions for future reference.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- MBO-3 in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in mechanical field service, preferably in propulsion systems or a related industry. Proven track record of successful installations, maintenance, and repairs
Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software used in the industry
Language:
- Fluency in Dutch and English; knowledge of French is an advantage
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel extensively within the Benelux region
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work in various environments, including onboard ships and industrial sites
