Mechanical Field Services Engineer

Installation and Commissioning:

• Install and commission propulsion systems on various vessels.
• Conduct system start-ups and ensure proper functionality according to specifications.

Maintenance and Repair:

• Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections of propulsion systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, and execute repairs promptly.
• Replace or repair defective parts and components.

Customer Support:

• Provide on-site technical support and training to customers.
• Respond to service calls and emergency repairs, ensuring minimal downtime for customers.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their needs and concerns.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of service activities, including reports on installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Document technical issues and solutions for future reference.

Qualifications:

• MBO-3 in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in mechanical field service, preferably in propulsion systems or a related industry. Proven track record of successful installations, maintenance, and repairs

Skills:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software used in the industry

Language:

• Fluency in Dutch and English; knowledge of French is an advantage

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to travel extensively within the Benelux region
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work in various environments, including onboard ships and industrial sites
