The Role

As a (Senior) Manager, Business Development Hydrogen, you will be responsible to build a new business aiming to broaden Pexapark’s position as a solutions provider for the full spectrum of the energy transition covering PPAs, storage and hydrogen. You are a business builder by nature and thrive in building new market offerings. You will be part of the Business Development business unit, where strategic departments and partnerships are incubated.

In your first assignment, you will leverage our existing expertise, network and software platform to provide investors into green hydrogen assets on how to successfully source PPAs and derive the extrinsic value from flexibility provided by electrolysers.

We are looking for an experienced professional with a growth mindset who would like to drive Pexapark’s leadership in green hydrogen and power-to-X solutions.

Tasks

  • Contribute to the development of Pexapark’s green hydrogen offering
  • Originate new clients and market our advisory and quantitative services
  • Build and nurture client relationships to discover commercial needs to develop new business opportunities
  • Generate revenue by selling, managing, developing and growing new and existing customers
  • Manage and deliver large complex green hydrogen/PtX mandates on PPA procurement strategies, flexibility monetisation and commercial/operational set-up
  • Establish strategic relationships with key decision-makers at customer organisations, including senior stakeholder engagement
  • Attend network events and bring industry connections to facilitate business growth
  • Negotiate new projects and contract terms with new clients
  • Work collaboratively with Advisory, Sales, Quant, Product and Marketing

Requirements

  • +5 years work experience, with a deep understanding of energy markets (preferable renewables), having worked in Trading/Origination, Commercial, Business Development or a consulting role
  • +2 years commercial experience in hydrogen/PtX
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to always strive to deliver quality within tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and strong project management skills paired with a convincing personality, client focus and business origination drive
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to reduce complex information into actionable frameworks and connect at all levels of the client
  • Possess a collaborative mindset and work well as part of a team
  • Legal eligibility to work in the EU, CH or UK.
  • A good sense of humour
