As a Backend Software Engineer (Java) at Pexapark, you are joining our effort to build the software suite that acts as the new Operating System for renewable energy companies. Our suite covers the full spectrum from sourcing, negotiating and closing PPA transactions to monitoring entire portfolios of renewable energy assets in terms of revenue and risk.

You will analyze, design and implement features to extend product functionality, as well as continuously work on reducing technical debt and improving the development process. You will work in a cross-functional team located in Zurich, London, Hamburg, and Lviv.

WHAT MAKES YOU A GOOD FIT

• Solid Java development experience of 3+ years
• Strong experience with relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL)
• Java 8, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Liquibase, PostgreSQL, JUnit, Mockito
• Experience in microservice architecture
• Experience in Kubernetes, Google Cloud a big plus
• JavaScript/ES6 and Frontend applications (Angular2+) knowledge a big plus
• Experience with non-relational databases a plus
• Experience with other programming languages is a plus
• Experience in the financial or energy industry is a plus
