Tasks

 Role 

As Senior Accounting Manager at Pexapark you'll work closely with the CFO, Operations Manager, and other Senior Executives to build and scale our accounting and reporting capabilities. This role requires strong business acumen, experience with SaaS business models and the ability to apply that business knowledge and know-how into the systems, process and reporting solutions that are currently available and proposed. In this role, you will have the opportunity to guide the general accounting operations in a fast paced and evolving environment. You will be responsible for leading the month-end revenue close process, preparation of management reporting and analytics, technical accounting,
automating existing processes, annual audits, translation to IFRS/GAAP. You will
also identify, own and manage projects that will provide process efficiencies for the accounting operations. We are looking for someone with a growth mindset who would leverage existing strengths and skill whilst also focusing on learning quickly and adding value to the current processes. You will be reporting to the CFO. 

Tasks 

· Manage the monthly close process for timely, efficient, and accurate month-end closes 

   o Owning the revenue close process  

   o Managing our accounting services across Europe to timely close 

   o Read and analyze contracts and invoices to determine appropriate accounting treatment 

· Prepare and manage the conversion of historical accounting records to IFRS/GAAP 

· Lead monthly management reporting meetings to keep managers informed vs. budget and drive business insight 

· Collaborate closely with the Operations team for all payables ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors, along with developing prepaid and amortization schedules 

· Coordinate multiple annual audits with external auditing firms in a cooperative manner 

· Regularly consult with adjacent teams such as Operations and Finance on reporting, analysis, and process improvements 

· Create and implement accounting policies and controls including drafting accounting memos and rolling out approval policies 

· Support the collections team to improve collection rates and ensure accurate records 

· Guide the direction of the accounting function and develop and build a team to deliver for high-growth high-performing start-up 

· Support a strong accounting & operational control environment to safeguard assets, improve operations and profitability and manage business risks

Requirements

 · Bachelor / Master's degree in Business Administration or Finance Professional accounting designation (CTA, CPA or CA) 

· 4 - 7 years of “Big 4” audit experience 

· 2 – 5 years of relevant SaaS accounting experience preferred 

· Strong project management skills  

· Proficiency in Excel is a must 

· Ability to deliver high quality services under tight deadlines 

· Experience with multiple accounting software systems, experience with a subscription based billing system is preferred 

· Critical, analytical, and creative thinking to identify and solve problems 

· Exceptional attention to detail 

· Full-time role based in Zurich, Switzerland with willingness to travel from time to time to our employees across Europe 

· Legally eligible to work in Switzerland  

· Professional working experience with spoken and written English, German? 

· A good sense of humor
