SAP MM/SD consultant

Location: Hybrid (Lisbon - On-site once per week)

Contract Type: Freelance, 12-month contract with potential for extension

Experience Level: 3+ years of experience in SAP Logistics, mainly MM; S/4HANA experience preferred

We are seeking a skilled SAP Logistics Consultant with a strong focus on Materials Management (MM) to join our client’s team on a freelance basis. The ideal candidate will have over three years of experience in SAP Logistics, including at least one year of experience with S/4HANA. A working knowledge of Sales and Distribution (SD) is a plus. This role requires on-site presence in Lisbon once per week, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the time.

• Lead the implementation, customization, and support of the SAP MM module, including purchasing, inventory management, material master data, and invoice verification.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between SAP MM and other modules, such as SAP SD. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for MM-related issues.
• Participate in S/4HANA migration projects, including data migration, configuration, and optimization of MM processes in the S/4HANA environment.
• Analyse current business processes related to logistics and materials management, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures. Conduct user training sessions to ensure effective adoption of SAP MM functionalities.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, provide expert guidance on SAP solutions, and translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Conduct system testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the quality and reliability of SAP MM solutions.
• Provide timely and effective resolution of incidents and service requests, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in SAP Logistics with a focus on SAP MM; experience in SAP SD is a plus.
• S/4HANA: At least 1 year of hands-on experience with S/4HANA implementations or migrations.
• Proficient in SAP MM configuration, troubleshooting, and process optimization. Familiarity with SAP SD integration is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with one on-site day per week in Lisbon.
• Available for a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension based on performance and project needs.
