Senior Embedded Gateway Engineer (m/f/d)

Together with the CDO of the Schunk Group, an international technology group with operations in 26 countries, we are looking for a Senior Embedded Gateway Engineer (m/f/d) to further develop the group-wide digitization strategy at the Heuchelheim site (FFM area).

• As the technical lead, you are responsible for the conceptualization and configuration of an edge platform and develop security concepts to continuously bring the Schunk Group to the latest technological standards
• Together with your team colleagues, you develop and implement security-relevant edge components such as TPM and Secure Boot using C/C++
• You collaborate with the IoT architect to ensure the seamless integration of machines and sensors into the IoT platform and develop the necessary interfaces and communication protocols
• You define forward-looking architectures around the edge platform that meet customer requirements
• You leverage your expertise to achieve cross-industry synergies and develop innovative solutions for various application areas

• You have experience in the conceptualization and configuration in the area of edge computing, for example in the development of security concepts and TPM
• You possess solid knowledge in embedded software development with programming skills in C and/or C++
• You have experience developing gateways for IoT applications, including using Azure IoT Edge and developing on Linux Yocto
• You have practical experience in creating fieldbus protocols, such as OPC UA, for the conceptual process control of embedded solutions
• You are a communicative team player with analytical skills and fluent English
